Albums
Toto's discography consists of 13 studio albums and 4 live albums. There are also compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed, members of the band did session work for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggsalbum from 1975 Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.
The band's third album, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their previous albums and was criticized for the lack of hit singles. In 1985, singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group The group held auditions for the new frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering demos and tapes from the past to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was a hit by fans, and the band embarked on a tour featuring former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun The drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included tour recordings and also an interview with the group.

In 1983 the group released Toto IV, which earned them worldwide recognition. The group embarked on an international tour to promote the album following its popularity. During the tour Bobby Kimball, the lead vocalist, was arrested for drug charges. At the end of the tour the band decided to let him go and hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams to take his place. Drummer David Hungate also left the band after the tour. He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.
The TOTO Museum is a futuristic structure with a variety of exhibit rooms devoted to telling the story of the company and its most innovative products. The museum's exhibits include toilets, faucets, as well tableware that have contributed to the growth of TOTO in the past half century. The museum hosts special exhibits all throughout the year.

The video is set in a library, and shows the group performing on top of a stack of books about Africa.
The track "Africa" is a track from the album Toto IV, was written by the members of the band and was produced by David Paich. The song was written by band members and produced by David Paich. In 1985, Fergie Frederiksen, Toto's drummer, quit Toto due to personal reasons. Toto held an audition to find an alternative for Frederiksen.

The album, released on November 6, 2018 included three new tracks from their forthcoming album 40 Trips Around the Sun as also completed recordings of four older tracks with Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also featured the cover version of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band re-released after hearing it on the radio.
