Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure that the future generations would be able to read the words. Many words were substituted with foreign ones. For example dui, which was Bengali for verandah was being used.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its beginnings mirrored Japan's development. In the first half of 1917, Toto produced products to meet the growing demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. It used the first tunnel kiln in the country that could produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for more efficiency and consistency.
In the late 1980s the company began expanding overseas to take advantage of sales and new markets. It launched the Cera Trading Company, importing and distributing other manufacturers' products to complement its own line of sanitary earthenware and plumbing fittings. This strategy boosted sales and expanded the firm's global market share.
In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis to research and development of household appliances that use water. It also improved its distribution system to better serve the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company employed the same approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This led to a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Toto has been able to continue to innovate in the toilet technology. The most recent toilet features a strong, eco-friendly tornado flush. Toto uses recycled water for its manufacturing process, and has a green buying policy. In addition to toilets Toto manufactures bathtubs and faucets and hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than conventional models.

Before forming Toto, members of the group did session work for a variety of musicians. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name as evocative as Asia, you would expect the group to be prog kings and queens but they're actually a fairly simple rock group. The group began as a quartet, and they released two albums - 1979's self-titled debut album, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The band has a varied musical background, but their biggest success was in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster but not without its issues. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to deliver the top single or they would rescind them. Toto was able to achieve this through the aid of the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is the result of their previous experiences. Before joining the group, the band members worked as session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their sonic signature has become the norm for '80s pop, and has influenced many contemporary artists.
The album starts out hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. The album also contains slow, jazzier tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song that combines folk with distortion AOR and should sound completely wrong, but actually is incredibly effective.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career and the band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band after drug charges. The band continued to play with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.
Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The group managed to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a more powerful, consistent effort that had an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the maturation in the group. Bobby Kimball's growing virtuosity was reflected by the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard playing was also more sophisticated, sharper and less akin to earlier efforts.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album was released just a few months later and the band embarked on a long-distance tour in support of it. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began exploring old tapes and demos to find songs that had never been recorded prior to. The album was released in 2001 and released as a double album called Then and Now. 스포츠토토 사이트 was the band's first album without the single track "A". The album also contained a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that limited his singing ability. In addition, Hungate returned to Nashville and drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.

Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the original members of Asia were in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be revived. This lineup, minus Howe who was working with Yes at the time, was renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also had the appearance of singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
